#AllRedEverything Part II

Dree Hemingway Photographed by Alexi Lumbomirski
Harper's Bazaar Us September 2010

This editorial reminds me alot of the one I posted featuring Eniko Mihalik Photographed by Camilla Akrans, in Vogue Nippon August 2010. It makes sense that the US is a few months behind haha. I love the strong bright reds against the neutral colored, but strong architecture-ed backgrounds. Dree always looks great per usual. My favorite look is the second where Dree is in mixed hues is donning, head to toe Balenciaga. Below that photo, the blazer she is wearing may look familiar, it has been featured in an editorial I have blogged about before. It is in Givenchy's fall line, which you know contains numerous red pieces.

I first fell in love with ALK when I read her interview in i-D magazine, and saw her gap tooth. Lagerfeld has taken her under his wing, and she hasn't stopped since. She looks f*cking amazing in Balenciaga and Givenchy. & You KNOW I love black and white photos. The lighting against the background really compliments the lacy, sultry clothing.

STFU

Karlie Kloss photographed by Raymond Meier
Vogue US August 2010
Well evidently the fashion Gods were listening when I said I needed more from Karlie Kloss, and they gave it to me! Kloss looks amazing here in 60's working girl, retro garb. Although Fendi & Chanel are smeared all over this editorial, my favorite piece Kloss has on are the Balenciaga high heeled loafers she has on in the bottom photo. They are absolutely to die for!

I love this editorial because it features some of my favorite fashion houses. The first up top is the French label, Balenciaga. Lead by Nicolas Ghesquière for the past 10 years, the line was originally started by Cristóbal Balenciaga in 1937. Balenciaga is known to be unfussy, with minimal seams & cutouts.
The third photo features shoes from Alexander "The Great" McQueen. If you aren't a McQueen fan, I really have nothing to say to you. McQueen was constantly pushing boundaries with his clothing. Everytime I see one of his pieces I'm in awe. Although he has passed his clothing and shoes can still be found in music videos, red carpets, and on the covers of magazines. He was taken from this world far too early.
Last but not least is Balmain! The best way to describe Balmain is grungy chic, and elegant all at once. Christophe Decarnin, is behind the line. Cut outs, rips and layering fabrics are trademarks of Balmain, along with leather pants, and amazingly skinny jeans. So as not to take away from a woman's femininity,  Balmain also pays close attention to draping especially in their goddess-like dresses, and features tight mini dresses. Balmain was the  inspiration behind my dress hem seen here.
