La-la-Love Lanvin

 

I am complete. Lanvin's Fall Campaign has been released. Photographed by none other than Steven Meisel (I'm actually surprised Mert & Marcus didn't bag them too!) If this isn't visually appealing to you, you must be blind or lacking a heartbeat. The clothing is so rich, and I love the metallic pieces as you know I would. The models remind me of the band/background girls in Robert Palmer's videos in the 1980's. I love the slicked back hair, heavy eye make up, and lipstick. The make up is so heavy so its fun to look at, but they all resemble one another  at the same time, so you focus on the clothing.

I saw this editorial & my heart melted. The Fall clothing is so rich & heavily adorned with feathers, sequins, and gold rings. I think my favorite shot features the Forrest green Lavin & Balmain pieces. They contrast perfectly with Palvin's brunette coloring. & Do I honestly have to say anything about the Emilio Pucci outfit in the last photo?  I THINK NOT!

Addicted To Love

Remember I said I was excited for fall ad campaigns, well Lanvin is one of the reasons why. Featured here are Mariacarla Boscono, Anja Rubik and Magdalena Frackowiak. The three were shot by the world renown Mario Testino (He's also shot a number or my idols Moss, Campbell). I love the edginess of this ad, & the girls remind me of the one's Robert Plante used to use in his videos which is probably why I love it so much. I mean, they were high fashion in the 80's!
